The Christian refuses to give their heart to the values or distractions of a world that is passing away. They freely enjoy what is good, beautiful, and true -- not only because God richly provides all things for our joy, but because every temporary pleasure hints at a deeper, lasting reality that will one day surpass anything imaginable.
Yet even with this hope, the Christian admits they do not fully understand the mystery of life. They walk with enough light for the next step, while much remains hidden -- and wisely so. When they say, “One day we will understand,” it is not a cliché but a steady conviction. Our present vision is limited, but when freed from the constraints of this life, we will know as surely as we are now known.
