I think that a third grader who has a
heart to share the gospel and who cares about people will be successful at
evangelism. It's not complicated. In fact, Christ -- the ultimate Evangelist --
said that all we have to do is to believe in the power of the gospel and then
go! "Take this -- the most amazing
message ever heard -- to people of all races and religions and backgrounds and
tribes." He'd say, "and let them know that salvation can be
theirs. Live like you believe that this
message really can change lives."
"For starters," Jesus might
say, "think back on how the power of God's story changed your life. Remember that first tug from the Holy Spirit,
how you felt when the gospel attached itself to your soul and began
transforming you from empty and lifeless to fulfilled and thriving? Now go tell someone about it! Be a purveyor of hope to men and women who
need the power of the gospel in their lives."
