How often have you been told in the
midst of trouble and difficulty to “hold on to God”? There is enough truth in
that advice to make it worth consideration. But, it misses the point if we have
that idea as our understanding of what faith is about. Faith is not holding on
to God; it’s trusting God to hold on to you, even when you think you don’t have
a hold on God.
