“The Word became flesh and made His
dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son,
who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 NIV)
“Love one another” is philosophy -- good
philosophy -- something every major religion advocates. But Jesus did not stop
there. He added, “as I have loved you.” “A new command I give you: Love one
another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone
will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35
NIV)
Word became flesh. A concept became
concrete -- truth illustrated. Jesus’ example was both the source and
confirmation of the message. The pattern is still the same -- the word must
still become flesh in order to be understood.
