“By
faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to
save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the
righteousness that is in keeping with faith…By faith Abraham, when called to go
to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even
though he did not know where he was going… And by faith even Sarah, who was
past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered Him
faithful who had made the promise.”
(Hebrews 11:7-11 NIV)
When you live
by faith, it often feels like you are risking your reputation. You’re not.
You’re risking God’s reputation.
It’s not your faith that is on the line.
It’s His faithfulness. Why? Because God is the one who made the promise,
and He is the only one who can keep it.
The battle doesn’t belong to you; it belongs to God. And because the battle doesn’t belong to you,
neither does the glory. God answers
prayer to bring glory to His name, the name that is above all names.
