“Then
Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in Him, ‘If you continue in My word,
you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will
make you free.’” (John 8:31-32 NRSV)
A
disciple [of Jesus Christ] is one who has found light in a blind and darkened
world, spiritual food and drink in a hungry and thirsty world, meaning in a
confusing and seemingly meaningless world, direction and community in a lost
and lonely world.
