"I will praise the Lord with my whole heart…" (Psalm 111:1a NKJV)
As you learn to thank God more and more, you will more and more see God in the little happenings of daily life, and increasingly see much about which to rejoice.

I am grateful to God for the many people in my church who make things happen, from small groups to worship to Sunday School to youth groups to college fellowship to visiting shutins. Praise God for their faithfullness.

ReplyDeleteThis is a VERY SPECIAL DAY!! My daughter brought over 2 pairs of slacks for me to shorten, for a trip she and her sister Rose Anne are planning, to Disneyword! One pair was cut off , then basted. The Pfaff sewing machine was brought to the kitchen table--the directions read, and to my utmost surprise, the 1 pair is ready. I thanked God loudly as the first stitches turned out nice and straight! She--Linda-- will be so pleased--her mom is NOT a seamstress--a reader, YES! A writer? Definitely! (Oh, and I bake delicious bread as well!)

I try to pray for God's "hedge of protection" for my family, loved ones, and my church family daily. I always smile when I pull onto an interstate, only to find a break in traffic, allowing me accesss and find safe passage. Recently a family in my church was struck broadside with both vehicles traveling over 50mph. All were safely removed and are recovering. I thank God for His protection!
ReplyDeleteI have a poem like this which I can't find so putting this in my words:
ReplyDelete""Even tho I see cloths and toys on the floor,
Thank you Lord that we have cloths and shoes to wear and toys to play with. Even tho' I feel I am always busy cleaning the house, Thank you Lord that I have a house to live in-there are people that are homeless. I'm washing dishes again, the third time today, Thank you Lord that I have food to eat. Got to fight the shoppers at the grocery store, Thank you Lord that I have a job to be able to buy groceries.
